THIRD EDITION: 2026
The third edition of the prize will focus on the West African region: Angola, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini.
Selection Procedure
The Foundation is currently contacting a list of nominators who are notable figures in the photography and contemporary African art scene.
Nominees will have to submit a dossier that includes a presentation of their artistic career, and a portfolio including three representative series of work.
The jury will bring together qualified figures from the worlds of art and photography and will be chaired by James Barnor. They will meet in the spring of 2026 to review the applications and select a recipient.
The winner will then be announced at the Rencontres d’Arles 2026.
